Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark will be playing at the presentation of the "Dresden Prize" to HRH Prince at Dresden’s Semper Opera next month. The prize recognises contributions to the reconciliation of Great Britain and Germany.
The performance will include the track "Dresden" from the album "English Electric". Andy McCluskey said of the track "Most people in Great Britain know that Dresden was bombed in the Second World War; it was shocking and gruesome. I used this event as a painful metaphor for futility, sadness and loss".
